WELCOME TO THE WELLINGTON (NEW ZEALAND) CROSS COUNTRY 
VEHICLE CLUB (CCVC)
The club runs a variety of four wheel drive trips to
locations around Wellington, the lower North Island and
the South Island of New Zealand.  Prospective members are welcome to
attend the regular Club night on the Second Wednesday of

each month (except January).

NON-MEMBERS ARE WELCOME ON FAMILY SHINY TRIPS

Non-members are welcome to come along on our Family Shiny trips as an introduction to 4WDing and to the club. Your vehicle must have a low ratio gearbox and not be a 4WD car, station wagon or van. During winter, because of track conditions, the Trip Leader may require Mud tyres as a safety precaution.

Please register for the trip using the online booking facility provided either by clicking on the trip listed on this page or using the "Events and Trips Booking" page under the "Trips and Events" tab above.

Members of other 4WD clubs are welcome to join us on any trip so long as they can satisfy the trip leader that they have the vehicle and experience required for the grade of trip. Contact us via the “Contact Us” page of the website for further details of the trip.

NON MEMBERS ARE WELCOME ON OUR TOURING CLASS TRIPS

Our "Touring Class" trips are designed for people who own 4WD / AWD vehicles (such as SUV's and Utilities) that are not suited to or are too new and shiny for the clubs traditional 4wd trips but have sufficient ground clearance for back country New Zealand roads.

These trips are on public roads taking you to places you may not otherwise go on your own.

Participation on these trips qualify toward club membership and you can belong to the club with the specific intention of only going on this category of trip.

HARDER 4WD TRIPS

The club runs trips that will test any vehicle and driver. 
In order to participate in these trips you need to be a member of a NZFWDA affiliated club with a suitable vehicle and experience.

TRAINING DAYS FOR PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS

Training days are held on a regular basis.  The cost of the day is $90.00 which includes a Land Access fee (paid to the landowner) a Day Membership fee (NZFWDA liability insurance) and a non refundable CCVC Joining Fee (prepaid if you go on to join and covering costs if you don't).
